Pekiti Tirsia Seminar

Pekiti-Tirsia Kali (PTK): is an indigenous combat blade fighting system native to the Philippines that employs all traditional weapons including Empty-Hands. At its core lays the Doce Methodos, The Contradas, and the Contra-Tirsia Doble-Dos fighting technologies. It is a true, close-quarters combat system that is perfectly engineered for all branches of the military, law enforcement officers, and those who prize personal safety and preparedness.  It’s the official combat system of the Philippine Marine Corps and is the only Filipino Martial Arts system instructed to all Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). Pekiti-Tirsia Kali is also the official martial arts system of the elite Special Action Force (SAF) of the Philippine National Police (PNP).  The basis of the PTK combat system is the ability to define strikes and attacks by angle, energy, weapon anatomy and manipulation.  This knowledge of tactics and techniques transfers to all weapon categories and thus, will permit the practitioner to effectively yeld any weapon (edged, impact, flexible, projectile) in hostile situations.  The foundation strategy of Pekiti-Tirsia Kali can be broken down into three concise tactical approaches:  1. Protection from all attacks; 2. Destruction of opponent’s weapons; 3. Domination of the combat or self-defense encounter.
